NSMA Current Education Offerings

Membership Meetings

At least one membership meeting is held each year.  Non-members interested in learning more about NSMA are welcome to register for these events.

Educational Seminars

Half day, one and two day seminars are offered several times throughout the year.  Seminars feature nationally-known presenters on a variety of topics, including Supplier Certification, Advanced Negotiations, Supply Management Fundamentals, Global Sourcing, Lean Supply Management, and much, much more!

Certification Preparatory Courses

As the supply management discipline grows in value and stature, many organizations now acknowledge the need for practitioners and managers to be trained in formal methodologies and professional standards.  Acknowledgement of professional certification and requirements of accreditation or certification for new employment opportunities are driving people to obtain either the C.P.M. or the newly-launched CPSM certifications.  These courses focus on the test and how to effectively take and pass the test.  The material presented covers subject matter and tasks contained in this test, but also focuses on techniques and methodologies to produce a successful result.

Bridge classes and new CPSM classes are currently targeted to be offered early 2009.  ISM has made recent changes to the C.P.M certification.  Click here to read more about the changes.
